Harry Redknapp feels a wave of optimism around the club as we prepare for Sunday's big kick-off against Liverpool.
Last season's runners-up arrive at the Lane for a 4pm start on the opening weekend of the Barclays Premier League.
The progress of the squad under Harry's guidance is well documented - we went from bottom to eighth and reached the Carling Cup Final again - and we now aim for a positive start to the 2009-10 campaign.
"It's a new season and there is a lot of excitement about the place," said Harry.
"The players are looking sharp, we've had a good pre-season and we're ready to go.
